OVC Office of the Dean Save the Date! The Statistics for Novel Clinical Trial Designs Conference will take place virtually on January 19th, 2026, and January 20th, 2026. This conference will bring together world-leading methodologists and clinical statisticians to share knowledge, and explore innovative trial approaches. This event offers an opportunity for students and researchers to present their work, gain expert feedback, and connect with leaders shaping the future of clinical trial research. The event includes student awards for students based at Canadian universities. Keynote Speakers: Dr. Anna Heath is a Scientist at the Hospital for Sick Children and Associate Professor at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada. Her research focuses on the conception, design and conduct of Bayesian clinical trials. Prof. Thomas Jaki is an MRC Investigator and programme leader at the MRC Biostatistics Unit at the University of Cambridge in the Efficient Study Design theme and is also Chair for Computational Statistics at the University of Regensburg. He has significantly contributed to platform studies, including his work during the COVID-19 pandemic on the RECOVERY Trial.
